The galenical preparations that the Pharmacist prepares in his own laboratory have long constituted the most peculiar aspect of the profession and possess, undoubtedly, a fascination that has roots in the history of Pharmacy itself. From the ancient Apothecaries to the modern Pharmacist, equipped by now with technologically up-to-date instruments, the Galenic Pharmacist prepares the personalized recipes for the patient on prescription of the Doctor and proposes, compatibly with the current regulations, his own formulas which often belong to the tradition of the family Pharmacy.
The application collects several formulas available to the preparing Pharmacist, taken from the official Pharmacopoeias and from unofficial Formularies of European countries. The European countries that carry in their Pharmacopoeias and or develop unofficial Formularies are: Austria, France, Germany, England, Italy Holland, Spain and Switzerland.
The demo, 20 formulas, is only an example of the complete database that you can
find on the referred-to website. The registration of the site, for a fee,
involves a series of services in the Galenic field and provides, for free, the
complete version of the App on mobile.
The demo proposes a current panorama of what the Pharmacies of the Old Continent are preparing. The formulas are also reported in the English language.

Peter Jager, Pharmacist, has worked and operated in the world of galenic preparation in Pharmacy for 30 years. At present, he is the Manager of Professional Preparations at an important Group of Pharmaceutical Distribution.
